LePage PL Acousti-Seal Adhesive, designed as a vapor barrier and sound reducer, is formulated with a unique blend of rubber and synthetic polymers. It is ideal for bonding vapor-tight polyethylene sheets to surfaces such as metal, concrete, masonry, asbestos, gypsum, paneling, plaster and wood. This adhesive provides an effective sealant that reduces the transmission of airborne sound in wall systems. In addition, it can be used as a waterproof seal around vibrating elements, electrical boxes or other objects embedded in or passing through walls. PL Acousti-Seal is particularly durable and remains flexible even in very cold temperatures. It also remains water resistant, even when submerged. Although it does not cure, which can cause dirt to accumulate on its surface, this does not affect its effectiveness. For best results, it is recommended to use it in inconspicuous areas.
